Friday we set off to Slagbai National park . Beautiful drive through the park , lots of hiking trails , but we were not dressed for it so we bypassed them and headed for the ocean. The dive sites here are in good shape . It was a beautiful dive. Saw the biggest Lobster I have ever seen !
Saturday we went to La Cai, did not dive it as it was very rough . Decided to head over to Sorobon and around to the Red Slave dive site. The current was too strong so we quickly ended that dive and went to Sweet dreams and got a dive in there. It was a sleeper of a dive except for the end , when we some some squid ...they are alien creatures , I love watching them!

Next dive was Vista Blue we saw a large crab and some other strange long legged creatures .....today we did Red Slave and it was fantastic ....more giant lobsters , crab , shrimp and lots of fish! A relaxing swim at Pink Beach .....and some fresh watermelon for lunch.

City Cafe for coffee and to watch the cruise ship come in. Then we went off to dive the Hilma Hooker . we found our old friend Giant Baracuda still on the ship . She was kind enough to pose for several pictures . Did not find the large Moray eel that usually is inside the ship….god dive as always.

Next site was down to the Lighthouse , site is called Wellems , we have never been here before . It is very rough to get in because of the waves. It was a calm day , so we had no problem. The coral formations are very different . Found 2 turtles sleeping and saw 2 more out feeding on the way back. about 6 Tarpon and some other very large fish with yellow stripes , about 4 ft long were cruising along the reef. On the way in the Dolphins were out fishing behind us…. we will head out again to this site for sure!

Day 3 was a busy day. Went up to the far end of the island and dove Nucove . Beautiful drive up, got lots of pics , but don't have them on computer yet . Nucove has a reef that is thriving . It is in very good shape. Still raining a bit .... .....

Stranded with flat tire for a while until some russians came by and lent us their tire iron..... got that changed and headed to Karpata, it was busy, due to the 2 cruise ships that were in for the day .

Today we went to Windsock and Pink beach. It was a rainy day , but we did not notice much underwater.:)  ..hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Good morning from Bonaire,
Harold and  I had a good trip to the airport . We were delayed by some traffic , but arrived on time since we had left extra early just in case we were delayed by the unexpected . Once we arrived at 5:30 am the island was dark due to a power outage , but by 7am power was back on . No internet yesterday , but today we are connected. Rain this morning , but clearing up as I write .

The sunrise on the morning we pulled the docks out of the water for the winter (Amazing what a cell phone can do )..... It was a beautiful morning and was a nice day to pull out the boats.

It is amazing how many sunsets I can watch. Each new sunset seems to amaze me ... seems to give me energy ..nature is really mysterious.
